Eco Committee

Westgate Primary School is proud to be taking part in the Eco Schools initiative. We are making sustainable development part of the life and ethos of our school.

Our school Council are the Eco Team but everyone in the school community is involved in making the school environment better. To find out more about Eco Schools please visit this website: www.eco-schools.org.uk  

In February 2007 we set up our Eco Team. This is made up of members of the School Council, Mrs Hopkins and Mrs Broadbent. We conducted an environmental review of the school and from this we were able to create an action plan.  We are now Bronze Award Winners. Next stop is Silver and we eventually hope to apply for a Green Flag, which is the highest award possible.
